zellamseeXpress: new gondola link between Zell am See and Glemmtal

As of just recently, the Zell am See – Kaprun ski area is now also connected to the ski resorts of Saalbach-Hinterglemm-Leogang-Fieberbrunn. Bit by bit, the lift network has been expanded. Now making it the biggest contiguous ski area in all of Austria. You can already ride the zellamseeXpress. This new 10-passenger gondola connects the Salersbachköpfl at 1,920 m with Glemmtal. From there, a 3.3 km-long red-rated hill (with snowmakers) drops to the “Winkelstation”. The ski route ends at the Kreuzerlehengraben in Viehhofen. The No. 680 bus (“Förstereck” bus stop) runs once an hour (from 09:41 – 18:41) back to Zell am See. The ride takes about 30 minutes. This bus is free with your valid ski ticket. Perfectly timed, for après-ski afterwards or a relaxing stroll through wintry Zell am See.
